I am Ashley Joy (@ashleyjoyspeaks), a writer, speaker, minister, coach, wife, and mom. My mission is to empower others to live purposefully and influence and impact others for the Glory of God.
Today, I want to discuss a personal value that I hold and how I am starting to see it manifest in every aspect of my life.
AUTHENTICITY.
Definition: Authenticity is the genuine expression of one's identity, beliefs, and values without fear of judgment or discrimination.
Leading with authenticity has been a high value of mine for a while, and I am starting to recognize how much it speaks its own language. When I show up as my most authentic self embracing my identity, beliefs and values as my greatest asset to my influence and impact, it gives others permission to either be uncomfortable with hiding their truth or show up and do the same.
Real people recognize real people.
To my surprise, when I shared an authentic graphic I worked on for my 2025 intentions, it resonated with many people across the internet who decided to do the same.
I found myself unexpectedly spending hours sharing over 50 links to help others create their intentions. It cost me time, but I gained new connections with amazing people (And my newsletter gained 50 more subscribers! 💯🥰)
Lesson: Be your most authentic self in every room.
Don't overthink it. Can you believe I wasn't about to post this creative design about my intentions because it didn't "aesthetically" match my feed?
This year we are living our life with much intention, and design. We are co-creating with God, and walking in the fullness of our calling.
